Natural Plant Growing
 |
There are two haversts in the agricultural year. In the Autumn: cucuber, pepper, tomato, aubergine, courgette an in the Spring Harvest: melon and watermelon
During the agricultural year, the S.A.T. Technical Departament monitors new varieties that appear on the market by conducting tests on diferent farms and in different zones.
Varieties are selected according to the best yield in terms of weight an quality (uniformity, colour, size, shape, etc...) in order to be able to offer farmers advine for the following year.
|
At he beginning of the year, Partners provide S.A.T.’s technical team with aproxímate production estimates, and these data are then processed stadistically.
The seeds are planted in our seed nurseies and seedlings are then transplanted to farmers’ greenhouses under optimum conditions.
Controls commence as soon as plantation begins in order to see whether any variations occur that have not been notified to S.A.T., and also to offer advine on fertilisers, phytosanitary products (with strict control of applications and safety periods), integral perticides, and in short, all that is requiered to ensure perfect plant and fruti development, an the optimum time form harvesting.
Before harvesting and delivery to S.A.T., a sample is taken from each crop and analysed in order to rule out the presence of any residual product in the fruit.
